Hey Carol!
CS> modern mailers have netmail as an afterthought (it's there, but
CS> not intuitive).
I prefer netmail over putting an email address in the nodelist but then netmail
is only useful if it is direct, which is actually an advantage over email if
privacy is a concern. I think in most cases it isn't.
The biggest concern I'd have about putting an email address in a nodelist would
be the spam factor. I am sure binkd gives much more protection, especially
behind a firewall, but setting up netmail to a new node without a back door can
be extremely frustrating.
Still is interesting to ponder although offhand I still give netmail the edge
over email despite that it has saved much grief over the years. Maybe the
nodelist isn't the best place for it?
Life is good,
Maurice
