The pro's of having DB handle everything is clearly Areafixing echos. No other
system I've seen does it correctly or without a bunch of housekeeping.

I'm not familiar with FastEcho - There are other people here in this echo that
know it far more than I do. Roy Witt, Mark Lewis, etc.

I understand that you are running Mystic? D'Bridge does not support JAM so if
you are using FastEcho to move mail in and out of Mystic then you need to keep
that program running. You cannot replace that with DB.

Off the top of my head, you would keep the FE setup with its existing
configuration and address, then assign two private Fido addresses for DB - one
for the DB mailer/tosser and one for the Usenet gateway.

D'Bridge does not have to be running 24/7, it can be scripted from a batch
file to toss/forward mail then quit back to DOS. Just add DB into your
existing tossing script.

If you are feeding other systems via Fastecho, then make sure it is configured
to forward Usenet group requests correctly to DB's address (NOT the gateway
address). The idea here is to have DB handle all the Usenet stuff and be
treated as just another one of your uplinks.
