Speed is just a matter of time, obviously the read speeds must be really
fast so this will end up being the definitive data removable format. I just
wonder how the DRM aspects will affect data format?

Even in compressed form, a 1080p mkv file is going to be in the 4gig range,
barely fits one episode on a standard DVD, I happen to like having 12 per
dvd, no need to get up and change the stupid disk every 44 minutes..
Blueray or HDDVD may be the way to do multiple episode disks with these
huge mkv format recordings.
