Yes, it was my honest desire to get those authors on the A-list. I did help one of my clients, in the long run. As I mentioned, my promotional efforts resulted in a two page spread. We were able to translate the whole thing into her first novel sale, and she moved on into a respectable career. My thing was I took only unpublished authors. I was a bit of a Quixotic. One thing I have always hated to hear is "it can't be done." You can't write a novel. http://members.shaw.ca/qjackson/Shorts/AintNeverGonna.html You can't finish high school and be the first Jackson to graduate. (I left home 2 months before graduating in order to be away from *that* attitude, and graduated in the top 5% or so of my graduating year.) You can't be an agent. You can't be a computer programmer. (Told to me by the gov't sponsored work program people.) You can't be a professor with unaccredited degrees. (Right!) You can't. You can't. If it wasn't for things that I cannot do -- I'd never have done a damn thing in my life! -- Quinn Tyler Jackson http://members.shaw.ca/qjackson/ http://members.shaw.ca/jacksonsolutions/ --- Rachel's Little NET2FIDO Gate v 0.9.9.8 Alpha* Origin: Rachel's Experimental Echo Gate (1:135/907.17) SEEN-BY: 24/903 120/544 123/500 135/907 461/640 633/260 262 267 270 285 SEEN-BY: 774/605 2432/200 @PATH: 135/907 123/500 774/605 633/260 285 |
