Well, I had the same problem, when generating a rather comprehensive
index to a 280-page manuscript. The solution: (You said it yourself! :)
Save ever so often! I too have 32 MB RAM...
Are you working with large docs? How about graphics? There are memory-
saving tricks like turning off the display of graphics, auto-spelling-
control etc.
