CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS AND ADVANCE NOTICE
The Forget Me Not Family Society and the Adoptive Parents Association of 
        British Columbia invite all those whose lives have been touched by 
adoption,
        to attend our 5th Annual Canadian Conference to be held in Vancouver 
on
       February 28 - March 2, 1997. It will be held at the Landmark Hotel in 
downtown
       Vancouver.
We are also inviting proposals for workshops, panels, and abstracts of 
research
        on critical issues in adoption. The deadline for this call is  
September 25, 1996
        We are open to suggestions for topics and we are also seeking 
suggestions for key note
        speakers.
All sessions will be 90 minutes in duration for Saturday March 1, and Sunday 
March 2.
       Friday February 28, is devoted to workshops for professionals in the 
field of adoption
       and is being arranged by an ad-hoc committee.
FORMAT FOR PROPOSED PRESENTATIONS
Proposals should be submitted with the following information:
       1. Title of Presentation
                Type of presentation (workshop, panel, research abstract)
                 indicating area addressed.
       2. Intended Audience
                Adoptee, adoptive parent, adoption professional, pre-adopting 
parent, or other,               
                and include level of prior knowledge needed if appropriate.
       3. Content
                 format, outline
       4. Audio - Video Requirements
       5. Description
                  25-50 word description for the Conference brochure
        6. Contact Information
                 Name, affiliation, address, phone, fax, e-mail, and 
experience of the person submitting the proposal.
        7. Other Presenter(s)
                 Name, affiliation, address, phone, fax, e-mail and 
experience of all others involved in your proposed   
                 presentation.
