too often that feels all too true....

Is it just because we're so anal we always put the bar higher than we can
leap? 
Fouled by some Puritan misconception in our societal backgrounds that
doesn't allow us to dwell in our successes?
Or are we really pretenders, even in pretense?

Or merely (humanly) psychotic?
