Make sure the equipment used is identical (right down to the version of
the BIOS). Make sure the various NLMs are stable and dependable. SFT3
cannot protect from ABENDS caused by software problems, and the ABENDS
can and will be replicated between the two servers. SFT3 will only
protect against hardware failure.
Consider SFT3 to be the same as a single, high-reliability server. Do
not expect to place replicas on this server with the thought that SFT3
offers the same fault-tolerance as a distributed replication would.
