I do recall that a long time ago (MS-DOS 1.0, 2.0 and/or 3.0), yes, you could use either character. I haven't tested it under OS/2 or various Win32 systems. Unfortunately, the \ character is hard coded in some spots of Maximus (and Squish), and that causes problems under Unix and Linux. Wes has a routine in place to handle case and \ vs / issues, but doesn't fix everything. Take care.....
