No, not using Windows anything (except Dos 7.1), I have no need for that
echo... ;)

Well, I asked the Wizard. Turns out my guess was similar to his.

It IS possible that the bbs is misinterpreting things. Dale's fix
doesn't fully fix the Y2K bug problem, it just puts a "bandaid" on it.
The messages are still corrupted, just not as badly. So there could* be
something there that Juxta is getting confused with now.

However, my Wizard has made a real fix for the problem, by actually
patching the BW reader to fix the Y2K problem. That is what I've been
using now for a while, and I no longer am using Dale's repfix as I no
longer need it. (Since I never have used the QWK at Juxta, I don't know
if I would have been having the same problem, even were I still using
just Dale's repfix, and I suspect that it would be quite a hassle for me
to try it out now.)

With the patched version, the dates are no longer a problem, so they
don't mess up anything else, either. Opening and closing a rep packet
doesn't affect the dates on the messages. And the message packets are
listed with closer to a real year in the date, where they are listed to
open them in the reader. That's the date on the local file, so totally
unrelated to anything inside of the file, btw.

I do have it available for others, as part of a package of fixed BW
readers/doors, all zipped up into one file. So far I uploaded it to one
bbs, but I don't know if he has it available for download. I could get
it to you, if you wanted to try it, if I had an email address. Or maybe
we could make arrangements with one of the bbs's?

So... I don't know for sure what is going wrong now... it does sound
like it could be Juxta that is partly at fault here, possibly (Juxta is
Maximus, while Docs is Wildcat, which could make a difference in whether
one or the other would have a problem with anything)... BUT I do have a
fix for you if you want it. :) Courtesy of my local Wiz.

... Research shows that 90.2% of all research is wrong.
