I didn't get what you were quoting, but I agree with you, I'd like more
personal freedom. However, with that freedom, there comes a price,
responsibility.
Until the majority of Americans are willing to take responsibility for their
actions, and the pain (physical or emotional) that they inflict on others by
their actions, there will be a need for strong government controls on their
actions.
I'm sure that you support the right to use tobacco publically, but what about
the right of a person with severe Asthma or allergies that are physically
restricted by the public use of these products? In short, why should I have
to breathe the second hand smoke for someone else's nicotine addiction?
