subject: Records - Fieldnames

Hi All,
I am using PDoxWin 5.0. I need to create a table with Field names from the
records contained in another table. i.e.:
Table 1: must create --> Table
:
Fields Qual_Recs:A5 TF:A1 AF:A1
 JN:A1
Records TF

                           AF
                          JN
The field types will all be A1 in the new table.
Anybody know of a way to do this? I have looked at the create method for
tables and I didn't see anything for borrowing the records from another
table, just borrowing the fields. I can load the records into a DynArray
with indexes based on the records and place holders of a single char for the
data, but there doesn't seem to be a way to create a table from a DynArray
either.
Any ideas?

You should be able to use the tcursor EnumFieldNames to get the actual
names of the fields. Then you can write out a text file with the method
to create the table in it. Next Play the script to create the table.

Not real elegant but it should work.

Subj: Report to file

It took me a lot of years to leave my DOS prompt and change it to
the Windows environnement. And still.............pfffffff
Pardadox 4.5 for DOS became Paradox 4.5 for Windows
Paradox now leaves the *reports to file* to Windows Print Manager....
Windows Print Manager offers the possibility to choose FILE TXT
Windows obviousely assumes that the output is ment to be printed
with a command like => copy file.txt lpt1.
But.. I don't want any pageheaders. Just want a file without.
Asking for a sollution to the Borland helpdesk, I got the idea that I'm
the only person with this problem in the world.
They told me that Paradox 5.0 also has not got a possibility to
write a file report to disk directely.
My question: Does anyone know a sollution
Secondly: Paradox is not the only Windows product thats completely
relying on the Windows Print Manager. Can anyone tell me
             why?
Regards from the Netherlands, Rob
PS. glad I still have the DOS version
