Never mind....I went ahead and ordered the history book, the activity book
and the test booklet from the A Beka rep when he was here.
> well, how did it go?? I haven't been to one
It was fine. My youngest was bored since they wouldn't let her look at the
books - I never thought that they'd do that, or I'd have had her bring a
pleasure reading book.
Fortunately the A Beka rep for SoCal, AZ and SoNV lives up in Murrieta - we
go thru there sometimes when we go camping, so that was good info.

I can't compare the two since I haven't sat down and really looked at Alpha
Omega. I really looked at the Bob Jones Univ. stuff and compared it to the A
Beka stuff (which I'm more familiar with, since I've taught in Christian
school before). I liked the Bob Jones math better than A Beka, but I'm not
using either one - for this year I have some textbooks that my mom gave me
when she retired from teaching.

At the moment I am hoping for fulltime. However, the income HAS to be there,
so we may have to wait for a month before pulling them out of school to
homeschool. Meanwhile, I have already seen some areas where my girls are
weak. My husband is working with Kristin on telling time by the analog clock,
and I am working on mental math with Jennifer. (It irked me that she couldn't
tell me how old I was 20 years ago.) So for now, supplemental.
