Ground floor about 1000 square feet, so not so large. 1906 vintage
workman's cottages. Mine is the second house up from the corner (the corner
house is the green roof). It's not obvious from the photo that there's a
partial second storey on my house. Also, the back yard on the right is
elevated, about the height of the ceiling of the first storey, with steps
up to it.
Spacing - you're right, my house is right on the boundary on the south
side, and about four feet from the north boundary. Common for suburban
housing in those days.
