Hello Mike. 23 Oct 03 20:55, you wrote to me: MG>> It works fine for me. The trouble is that it's MG>> internal fossil driver sucks MG>> big-time, and must be completely disabled. ML> And, yes,for that reason you can't/couldn't use it on WIN-95/98. No, I run NT 4.0 here, and have found many of the same problems with it that it had under Win 98. It doesn't support a DOS mailer very well, which you may need to run alongside Com/IP, and it may force your modem down to 9600 baud connections. It also interferes with other fossils you may try to run to support such a mailer; even interferes with BinkleyTerm's video fossil. It's simply a poorly written fossil driver. Com/IP itself works equally well under Win 9x or Win NT, but it's internal fossil doesn't work very well for either OS. Winfossil is a far superior driver. --- GoldED/W32 3.0.1* Origin: MikE'S MaDHousE: WelComE To ThE AsYluM! (1:134/11) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 134/11 10 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
