Actually, now a river but milleniums ago, a meteorite strike
or so they say. The extensive ore content would indicate a apport
of strange material. The NE corner ( circle ? ) of the lake is
where the compass goes awire.
Did you have a look in Google Earth ?
Is FIDO not a fine institution ?
