From: Gary Britt

For the largest company in the world with more employees than any other
company in the world the instances you cite are not indicative of anything
other than a handful of managers choosing to break the law in an attempt to
look good. Its not company policy nor widespread. In context a very minor
blip on the WalMart picture.

These things are against the law, hardly limited to just WalMart, done far
more often by other companies than WalMart, etc etc. They also got
punished. Whether its a sweetheart deal or not depends on the point of
view. The real bad guys lost their jobs and their good names, and WalMart
coughed up so do for having .000001 % of their employees decide on their
own to do something wrong.

No I was talking about the lies told about how WalMart underpays their
employees and provides lower benefits, etc. when they pay more than the mom
and pop stores paid that they put out of business. When WalMart opens a
store more than 100 people maybe more than 1000 people apply for every job
opening, that shows more than anything just what a WalMart job means to the
people looking for that type of work and benefits. They know its a great
job, far better than what they already have.

The only reason for the hate WalMart lies is that WalMart started selling
groceries in competition with Union Goon organized shops. Its just that
simple. One can choose to buy into meaningless crap from Union Goons, like
damaging invisible rays coming from your computer monitor and computer and
like ohhh WalMart is bad or not. A rational thinking person chooses not,
but then a rational thinking person wouldn't join a corrupt union to begin
with.

WalMart is one of the biggest benefactors to poor neighborhoods and small
towns that has ever been seen. They do more to benefit the poor (through
their significantly lower prices on food and other items) than does all of
the federal government with all of its anti-poverty programs.
