Timed backups are not saved by the file name you
are (or are not) using. They are saved as WP{WPC}.BK#
where # is the number of the document window. Original
backup files, when you re-save the file you are working
on, are named FileName.BK! where FileName is the name
of the file you are using.
The auto-saved WP{WPC}.BK# files are for crash
recovery purposes, or any improper exit from
WordPerfect. Proper exit deletes them.
