Hello Bonnie,
I read your post on the future of the echo and the thought of making it an 
internet news group. Personally, I would hate to see this happen.  I enjoy 
Fidonet echos much more than internet newsgroups.  In fact, I totally gave up 
on the internet newsgroups about a year ago.  I got sick of wading through 
100 messages to find 1 that was even worth reading. I have a number of users 
on my BBS here that are also in the same boat and have come back to Fidonet 
to escape the internet.  The internet is great for some things but I know a 
lot of people that prefer Fidonet echos because of the much more friendly and 
personal atmosphere. I enjoy reading this echo and have learned a fair 
ammount from it by lurking in the background.  One of these days I'll know 
enough about audio to actually post some intellegent replies ;)
