RW>Hello All!
Hi Richard!

Couple 'o thoughts...
What is happening ( obviously ) is that the radio signal is getting into
the amp and is being rectified somewhere and the resultant audio is
coming through the speakers.
I would try to narrow it down to the component level - amp, cord and
guitar...
Try plugging the guitar into your bass players amp ( or the PA amp. )
using the same cord.
Try a different cord.
Try running the MESA amp with nothing plugged into it.
Try it with the input shorted out ( will not hurt the amp - plug a cord
into it and short out the other plug end )
Try plugging a microphone into the MESA.
Rectification can happen at solder joints, corroded areas, bad
connections or also in low-level electronics ( nothing wrong with them )
Since the radio goes away when you touch the pickups, I would suggest
that it might actually be in the guitar or cord and not the amp.
If it does happen to be in the amp, a local service person or amateur
radio operator can install bypass capacitors on the input which will
reduce this while not affecting the signal.
Good luck! TTYL - Dave
