Wow, that's pretty bad.  I've got an HP 1220c (two of them actually one
from 1999 or 2000 and one from 2002) that still work great for what I need.
 They have never needed a repair or any maintenance other than print
cartridges. They don't get heavy use but regular use.  I guess I'll hang on
to them since they don't have the planned to die cartridge *feature*, but I
am in the market for a new inexpensive type printer, ink jet probably, for
my Atlanta office.  You've scared me with the comments about the HP
all-in-one drivers.

What printer will be your next if not HP?
