Good question. I'm not entirely sure, but your 2nd explanation seems to fit 
the facts. I've found that in Win95, you cannot log on using two different 
network clients at the same time (Novell/MS), and you cannot log on to two 
different domains using the same network client either.
The latter is a major nuisance, as I often need to move data between two 
different NT domains.
