This is certainly true. However, the context in which which I have been
using SAS/C is for MVS system programs which involve the use of
functionality specific to MVS, so the use of the currently nonstandard
vsnprintf() function isn't a big concern. (i.e. the code is inherently
nonportable, its functionality is basically completely specific to MVS).
