| subject: | Re: HP`s Time-Bombed Printheads |
From: "John Beamish" My needs are not exacting. I'm running WinXP and it just runs. The quality is quite adequate (for an ink jet) for business purposes -- but I wouldn't pretend that it's the right printer for a large, professional office that deals in graphics. When my i550 died from severe abuse (it didn't survive a four foot drop), I bought an iP4200. It uses an upgraded ink cartridge (so far un-refillable). I bought it to print my usual stuff and some photos for V. As it turns out, she can take a memory card from her camera down to the local drug store (seriously) where they generate prints for about the retail cost of photo paper so I use my printer to print project schedules, PowerPoint presentations and other stuff.
