The evidence seems to indicate the frame was opportunistic; maybe that is
why it is so sloppy and obvious; though he (ie, Abu-Jamal) was being watched
by the police because of his association; the Philly police have never been
able to explain how the .44 slug found in the slain officer's brain was able
to come from Mumia's .38 ...  Mumia was shot at the scene by a police bullet
...  The bullet entered his body from above, passed down through a lung,
into his abdomen; awaking from surgery, found himself handcuffed to the bed.

Well, I certainly disagree with the tree-spiking tactic.  But, all things
considered, it is really little worse than some of the tactics used against
protestors by industry and industry supporters.
