Micron, vendors of the DRAM chip on the Pi 4, go up to 32Gbit (=4GByte)
LPDDR4 chips.
So an 8GB version would need them to release a higher density DRAM chip
($$$) or a board respin to take a second chip, assuming the BCM2711
supports that.
