I'm using Firefox 1.5 at the moment, I plan to upgrade to Firefox 2 during
the Xmas break. I haven't yet had a problem with banking and shopping
sites. News videos, and sites such as Youtube, generally work fine. Most of
the kids' gaming sites (Disney Channel, Neopets, TamaTown, FunBrain etc)
that my children frequent work OK. The only software I would like that I
don't have is the very latest Acrobat Reader and Flash player. Quite a lot
of Windows software runs under Odin and other wrappers - for example, I'm
running the Windows version of Flash 7 plugin for Firefox. There are OS/2
versions of all the tools I need, many of them direct ports from Linux
using the emx and gcc libraries for OS/2. Not just console apps, but Open
Office and The Gimp for example. (But I don't use The Gimp, I use PMView.)

I'm still doing that on a 486 laptop. If I want multimedia I do it on the
Pentium III-733 in the study on the 21" Trinitron screen and the
multi- channel speakers.

Can you get drivers to run it on 2006 hardware?
