I use ipfw on my server that is flapping out in the wind at the Canada colo
site I use for my personal server. (www.tera-byte.com)
I use OpenBSD's pf firewall for my home firewall where the cable modem
comes into my house.
With recent versions of FreeBSD, they have incorporated the pf firewall
into FreeBSD. When I get to the point where I upgrade my hardware for the
colo server, I'll stay with FreeBSD, but I'm likely to switch to the pf
firewall.
btw, pf is the basis for the Core Security firewall for Windows.
