Ah, but you don't travel at relativistic velocities and you have rest
mass.  Actually, it's the rest mass that keeps you from traveling at
light speed.

With photons, when they lose energy, the law of conservation takes it
out of their frequency and wavelength.  This shows up in what
physicists call the red shift.  Alternatively, you can add energy to
a photon and it will show up as a blue shift.  In either event, they
can and will travel only at light speed.
