It's no secret that I have no love for the "lazy" media. I don't have a
problem with all of the media, only the ones that are lazy/irresponsible.
Recent examples of what I mean are the allegations against Jordan by some in
the New York media (admittedly a couple of years old but it still gets
brought up every year) and the allegations against the Detroit Pistons made
in a book by some so-called "respected" journalists.
The one about Thomas really shows how "lazy" these guys were. They alleged
that Thomas had missed a game because of a bogus injury and they didn't
believe that he had been hurt because they couldn't find evidence that "Isiah
Thomas" ever been in the hospital on the day he was alleged to be injured.
Now, I ask you, how many people smell "idiot" before I go any further? What
kind of morons go looking for a celeb under his own name? Apparently only
THOSE guys because a writer from Toronto didn't go looking for "Isiah Thomas"
but he found a "Mr. Detroit Piston" and it indeed showed the Isiah had been
examined and that he was diagnosed as having a concussion.
Peter Vecsey is now under fire for his comments about Kemp. I have to wonder
if PV has been "Orlandoed" again or if it was a disgruntled Sonics' employee
that fed him that info.

Sorry, Iverson, I just don't buy it. Ok, so AI had all those mahvelous games
in a row but it seems to escape some people's notice that they LOST every one
of them. My vote goes to Marbury, Abdur-Rahim, Kittles and THEN Iverson.

I also don't buy the argument for Malone. It's really more of a "Jordan's won
enough of them and Karl deserves a chance" than anything. If you look at how
things have gone for Chicago (injuries, suspensions, etc.) and how they've
done things in a FAR TOUGHER division AND conference, Jordan is hands-down
the MVP. For goodness sake, they are going to win AT LEAST 69 games in a
division that's winning 57.7% of its games (5 of the 8 teams are over .500)
while the Jazz are going to win at least 62 games in a division that's
winning 41.5% of its games (Only 2 teams are over .500).
