I recently started working with Paradox 5.0 for Windows after some
experience with Access and Visual Basic. Both those products offer a
way to open a combo box (Pdox's drop-down edit box) with code when it
receives the focus, so the user can avoid having to click the drop down
arrow and take fingers from the keyboard while entering data. I have
searched the documentation that came with the product, and have not
found any references to this. Is there undocumented code to attach to
the Arrive method for the object so the box opens up, or failing that,
is there a keystroke (like Access) which opens up the combo box? I am
reduced to looking for ways to send the Windows message CB_SHOWDROPDOWN,
but that requires a handle to the box itself and I can only find
references to getting a handle to the form, not the objects on it, from
within Paradox. Any help with any of these issues would be greatly
appreciated.
