Beautiful... that's the way the God of my understanding is with me.
Not only does He let me go through (self-will run riot!) and then be there... 
he also puts people like your friend in my life when I need them.

I've heard since I came into meetings, and it's been my experience... I'm 
always EXACTLY where I'm *supposed* to be. (...though I usually don't think 
so - at least not at the time.) Sometimes I'm more accepting of this.
