My problem with multi-function phones is you can't turn off the phone. E.g.
if I'm on an aircraft over the atlantic then I store my music,
appointments, addresses etc on both my laptop & phone. Usually I can
furtively turn on my phone, & write down any addresses or add some
notes, appointments & then turn it off.
Also when flying over land...given I have global roaming...It's a quick way
to work out what country you're over if you've been asleep & there's no
moving map....turn on your phone & get a "welcome to....."
message.
