| subject: | Re: Impressions Of Linux From a Newbie (me!) |
From: "Rich Gauszka"
I've tried both RedHat 8 and SUSE 8.1 recently and I kept SUSE on my PC. I
only try a new release of Linux about every year and a half and it usually
gets deleted within a couple of weeks out of frustration yet SUSE is
probably going to last a lot longer than that on my PC. The installation
process for SUSE found and mounted my NTFS partitions, USB harddrives, and
flash card readers ( something RedHat didn't do) . The SUSE configuration
utility YAST2 is decent.
