Perhaps this opinion is wrong, but I see it as smart public relations
before the fact. Once they become bigger than ExxonMobil etc. the same
people that hate big oil, Halliburton etc. will start to hate them, but if
they keep their name in front of that group by paying off their favorite
media outlets, they can prevent/slow down that eventuality.

But I don't see how funding PBS will increase the use of Ethanol --
especially since much of it seems to be made from GM crops. So, while I
understand your answer, it doesn't really answer my question: what useful
target audience is ADM reaching on PBS?
