Happy New Year to each and all of you!
Knowing that laughter is the best medicine, and EMS workers need a sense
of humor to survive, thought I would share the following, which I found
in our latest EMS newsletter....
The Credo of EMS:
We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the
ungrateful and we have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are
now fully qualified to do anything with nothing.
The First Rule of Bystanders:
Any bystander who offers you help will give you none.
The Second Rule of Bystanders:
Always assume that any physician found at the scene of an emergency is a
Gynecologist, until proven otherwise. (Unless the emergency is
obstetrical, the the bystander will be a dermatologist).
"Sometimes life feels like a carwash and you're going through it on a
bicycle."
