Except in the music business, the large successes have to also be used to
help defray the losses on those that don't come anywhere near breaking
even. Those make up about 90+% of the released product.
Why release those you say? If you could be more accurate in predicting the
hits, you'd be able to write your own ticket in this industry.
At the moment, everyone more interested in quick success, and not willing
to invest in building a career. Success now, or hit the road.
