I realize this is a late reply, but SexPOTS compiles and runs on Linux systems 
too (and does provide some advantages to mgetty). If you're not getting your 
fido mail over dial-up, then there's really no reason to have D'Bridge deal 
with your modem/phone line (cept maybe really desparate crash mailers?).
