Can anyone tell me how to obtain the latest & greatest?

I am trying to cpompile & install under FreeBSD n a Sparc. I d/l from the
Sourcforge repository & able to compile smapi but fidoconf fails. Same happens
on FreeBSD/intel & centOS/Intel. I use to whiz through the installation but
something appears to be broken in the code.

My thought is to grab the latest from CVS & try again.
