Full disclosure: I'm learning French as part of my job duties.  The company I 
work for is based out of Quebec and nearly all of them speak French as their 
native tongue.  They do speak decent English for the most part but they are 
known to slip back into French for heated or deep discussions.

Google Translate is used a lot here on my part for some of the longer emails I 
get.  Since I spoke Spanish fluently about 30 years ago, I do have a bit of 
memory about how to speak it.  With French and Spanish being related I can, 
for the most part, directly translate what's being said.

Speaking French, though, is another matter entirely.  My proper French accent 
ain't. :)
