Basically.  However, I was pointing out that when Paul said that "It
makes your program non-ISO" he was unambiguously refering to the
source code.

True, it has many limitations in the real world. OTOH, ANSI/ISO code
is to be preferred here, because it maximizes the number of people
who can read & share your code.
