Hello Mike. 13 Sep 03 10:49, you wrote to me: MM> You could always just download QWK via FTP or Telnet or even read MM> your fido mail Via NNTP. My BBS supports all of it, as does any MM> synchronet BBS. Sounds like a plan except that I personally don't mind using something like Multimail. I haven't done newsgroups since the dinosaurs roamed the earth. :-) I never did like newsgroups. Far too impersonal. I believe they're meant for sheep rather then people. Heh, heh. MM> feel free to look around: bbs.war-ensemble.com Sounds good. I'll give it a try later if you don't mind. Right now I am waiting for some stuff to finish compiling as I am working on a new development partition I want to test out for the creation of minimal Linux schtuffenputten (<- for lack of a better term). I have it working with chroot but am hoping to take it to the next level as a standalone. If it works out okay then for sure Fido offline type stuff will be part of the mix. Good to see that there is a sysop out there who understands. There may be hope for us wannabe users yet.
