yup, i rang the 012 mob and quised them, got a name as well, i was told that 
because it was sucha success they made it a permanent feature, this is why 
they no longer advertise it as much .. looks like thioer out to remind the 
team .. grin.
if my experience is anything to go by (sort of off topic, sorry) then it 
would prove a boon to telstra .. my std bill had jumped some 500 percent, in 
that i now call between 7pm and midnite as welll as make my australian std 
(data) call and i stay on for as long as it takes .. before i used to get on 
and stay for the absoolute minumum, on bad teleocms lines, or to poor quality 
modems this wold result in several abortive calls .. my average data call was 
in the range of 10 to fifteen minutes, this has infreased to 45 minutes and 
the average cost of my voice std call has gone from some 75c cents to $3.00
good marketing move and proof that telstra was stoking thwe fire as regards 
its 'lack of bandwidth' issue when last it harrassed the modem using 
community.
