That's the result I got several years ago when I did this.

Your best be with Synchronet is to use the -W command line option to write a
goldarea.inc file to include in your config. Once you do that you'll need to go
over that file and correct any errors and include that file in your golded.cfg
and remove the "AREAFILE SBBS /sbbs/" line, or comment it out.

I don't know what the issue is with the SBBS support in golded but it seems to
be incorrect or incomplete. If all your areas have the same internal code
prefix I think you'll have better luck, but I doubt they are.

It's the same situation with Mystic. You need a goldarea.inc to include or just
add AREADEF lines to your golded.cfg. There is no other way I know of.
