Yes, but that way costs memory (damned, what's the right word? ressources?), 
as if you had opened the application.
Bill should try to use the "save settings" (German: Optionen - Speichern) of 
the individual application.
That results, that for example my GeoDraw always opens a document in the view 
"show the whole page" (I don't know the correct english translation).
