| subject: | RE: [drakelist] TR7 Volume |
From: Ron Wagner Subject: RE: [drakelist] TR7 Volume What I have done is use an outboard Radio-Shack DSP for my audio control. It does two things, one allow me to turn the volume to "nothing", and also allows a very nice way to drop out the old tuner-uppers. I often hear net control mention the carriers, and when I turn off the DSP I hear it, but with it on, I hear only the conversation. That is of course if the front end and AGC are not pushed into "limiting" from the carrier. Drawback is getting acustom to using the DSP vloume control instead of reaching for the Drake on/off/volume control.
