subject: Writing Macros

Hello. I am a registered Commo user, and have been subscribed to the
Internet mailing list for a few months. I posted this query there, but
have not gotten a satisfactory answer.
I noticed that many users are into creating there own macros, and that
they can accomplish major tasks easily. I have read "Macro.doc" from
beginning to end, but found it to be somewhat confusing and too packed
with information. I asked on the list if a tutorial was available, and
was pointed to an archive from Ordata.com. The problem is that it is
already assumed that the reader knows the language. Is there any
tutorial somewhere that begins at an elementary level, and teaches the
language bit by bit? If so, where might I find it. If possible, I
prefer to download it from an Internet site, since I have a college Unix
account at no cost, and calling BBS's proves to be somewhat difficult,
not to mention expensive. Of course, if I can only get it from a BBS, I
will do so.
Thanks in advance.
