The BW reader would of course recognize those extensions, as those are
the ones that it was made for.  As far as the .qwk extensions, BW also
recognizes .qw1 and so forth (2-0 as the number) as .qwk packets.

I think that George was probably smart enough to have the program look
inside the packet for what type it was for figuring out whether the
reply should be a .rep (for .qwk) or a .new (which is what a true BW
message packet generates for a reply packet), but I haven't actually
checked that out by renaming a packet to see if it confuses the reader. 
That experiment can wait, I am sure... :)
