subject: msged can`t find libfidoconf

I'm trying to compile msged on FC8

I've downloaded the file husky-all-1.9-source-20120420.tar and untar'd it in
/usr/local/husky. I've successfully compiled and installed smapi, and
huskylib, in that order, as per the docs. Then I went into msged dir and did
make clean and make all install. Then it give me this:

make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/husky/msged/doc/manual'
./msged -hc msghelp.src msghelp.dat
./msged: error while loading shared libraries: libfidoconfig.so.1.9: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
make: *** [msghelp.dat] Error 127

/usr/local/lib/libfidoconfig.so.1.9 does exist.

Does anybody have any thoughts why this fails?
