| subject: | Slow mouse in XP |
From: Gary Britt Am I only one of two people in the universe that felt the mouse in XP was slow. Too slow, and not able to be set fast enough (i.e., as fast as the same mouse works in Win2K)? I also think the same thing of the keyboard repeat rates which can't repeat as fast in XP as they do in Win2K. I have found the cure for pokey mouse. No acceptable cure yet for the keyboard repeat rate. The pokey mouse was far more annoying than the the almost but not quite fast enough keyboard repeat rate XP problem, so at least I've got a solution to that one. I was amazed when doing research on this issue that there were plenty of people looking for a way to disable and eliminate XP's built in mouse acceleration curves(for game playing apparently), but only one other person in the universe looking to speed up XP's built in mouse acceleration curves. Fortunately, I did find that one other person and he had the answers that I needed to build appropriate registry modifications. Anyone else want the cure for XP pokey mouse?
